What are Ice Sports Days about?
The ice sports federations launched the Ice Sports Days campaign in winter 2025. The campaign organizes events on outdoor ice throughout Finland, offers opportunities to explore different ice sports, and encourages people of all ages to be active on ice. In January 2027, the campaign will expand and become part of the national movement days and the Finland on the Move program.
Ice Sports Days events are organized in collaboration with cities and local clubs. In addition to the main events held in ten different locations, clubs, cities, and organizations can organize their own local events as part of the Ice Sports Days initiative.
Ice Sports Days are part of the national movement days initiative. Ice Sports Days are funded through the government program Finland on the Move, which aims to increase physical activity in every age group.
